Os verdes tem de estar sempre do contra e parece-me que este argumento deriva mais dessa filosofia de vida do que da realidade.
Quando as pessoas chegam a casa começam a gastar mais energia onde moram, mas entretanto deixaram de a gastar onde trabalham.
Por alguma razão existem os contadores bi-horários, para promover a utilização da energia fora das horas de ponta.
Os carros eléctricos até podem ter muitos defeitos mas não são esses certamente.
Alimentados à noite vão consumir certamente energia hídrica ou eólica.
Além disso, alimentados pela instalação eléctrica duma habitação tem de ter certamente um regime de alimentação lento, por isso não fazer disparar nenhuma central térmica de recurso.
