No Guest of Time, a propósito da menina Aishah Azmi (lindíssima naquele niqab).
A indemnização atribuída à menina Azmi pelos senhores magistrados não rectifica nada, bem pelo contrário: convida a mais birras do género. Melhor seria se lhe tivessem aplicado umas boas palmadas. Sempre poderiam argumentar que se tratava de uma prática cultural geralmente aceite nas sociedades islâmicas que a jovem entrapada toma como modelo político.

Esta história mirabolante deveria fazer pensar os multiculturalistas:basta-lhes dizer-discriminação!-,para terem direito a indemnização sem mais aquela;será que esses “nossos”paladinos não conhecem a figura da reciprocidade?Uma Ocidental que se atreva a aparecer por lá sem um véuzito e verá o que lhe acontece(aliás,Oriana Fallaci,foi apontada como tendo MUITA coragem para ir despojada desses atavios-e só não sofreu represálias por ser internacionalmente reconhecida-,enquanto que cá no nosso Ocidente,que se põe de cócoras,as mulheres islâmicas têm toda a liberdade para fazerem o que bem entenderem).Não vêem isso?

Aishah Azmi found herself in the middle of a national row about integration when she took her school to an employment tribunal after it suspended her for refusing to remove the veil in class. (…) Azmi, 24, has maintained that her decision to wear the veil was driven entirely by her personal beliefs, rather than the advice or instruction of a third party. But this weekend it emerged that she refused to take the veil off at school after receiving a fatwa, or religious ruling, from Mufti Yusuf Sacha, a Muslim cleric in West Yorkshire. Her legal team revealed that the advice Sacha issued to Azmi ruled that it was obligatory for women to wear the niqab (face-veil) in the presence of men who were not their blood relatives. Sacha is one of several hundred Islamic clerics in Britain with the status of mufti, entitling him to issue fatwas based on Islamic law.
